Cruise Toronto Harbour from Pier 6 in a small group of up to 10 people. Expect live stories about the skyline, CN Tower, Rogers Centre, and Hanlan’s Point, with guides such as Owen, Asha, Lyba, and Sophie appearing on different departures. Bring a camera and arrive early for parking.

Meet your horse at Banff Trail Riders’ red stables, learn basic Western riding, then follow lead and tail guides beside the Bow River and Cave and Basin Hot Springs. Ride through Banff National Park on a calm one-hour trail ride with Banff Trail Riders. After a short riding lesson, you follow the Spray River Trail Loop, cross the river, and see Bow Falls and the surrounding mountains. The pace suits beginners, but riders must be at least 8, under 230 pounds, and able to control a horse.

At Levelup Virtual Reality Arcade on Yonge Street, you receive a short training session before choosing VR games for a one-hour session. Try multiplayer zombie survival, soldier missions, ocean exploration, escape rooms, short films, and other genres. Ages 8 and up are welcome.

At Boundary Ranch, guides such as Jordan, Emily, and Emma lead beginners and children age six and up on calm horses through wooded Kananaskis trails. The one-hour Buffalo Loop stays at a walking pace, passes the buffalo paddock, and may offer glimpses of deer, elk, marmots, or squirrels.

Set out from Ivy Lea on a one-hour City Cruises Gananoque boat ride through the 1000 Islands. You’ll see Canadian and US islands, cottages, McDonald Island, Howe Island, and Boldt Castle, with recorded commentary in English and French, plus snacks and drinks for purchase.

Set out from Gananoque for a one-hour cruise among the St. Lawrence River’s 1,864 islands. You’ll see McDonald Island, Howe Island, Half Moon Bay, Leek Island, cottages, boats, and rocky islets while video, sonar imagery, and multilingual audio explain the region.

“Very fun experience, although very chilly in the winter. Chance was a great guide. He showed us lots of interesting spots and was always concerned about safety. Doing the 90 min vs the 60 min trip allows you to ride the Segway’s much more. The later part is more riding and less talking. The Segway’s were fun and easy to learn. We enjoyed talking with Chance after the tour too!!”
Ride from Lunenburg’s waterfront to Blue Rocks with SeaWeed Tours in a small bus limited to eight people. Your local guide, including Nancy on some departures, shares stories, pauses for photos, and returns you to the same meeting point in about an hour.
